Tom Mauro, Associate Rabbi
|
Rabbi Tom Mauro is a native of Bronx, New York and attended St Petersburg Theological Seminary. He holds the credentials as an ordained Pastor under both John 663 International Ministries and Koinonia International Ministries. Rabbi Mauro has been in the Messianic Movement since 1991 and has served in the various roles of Outreach Director, Shamash, and Elder at various ministries. In 1998, he joined the Leadership Team of Congregation Adonai Roi in Tel Aviv, Israel, headed by Avi Mizrachi. Later that same year Rabbi Mauro became the Assistant Director of Dugit Messianic Center in Tel Aviv where he taught and equipped the numerous leaders and Bible students from around the world who were spending their internship and practical studies there. He also regularly led various Intercessory Prayer groups from different countries in prayer walks around Tel Aviv and Jaffa, and worked to build up a ministry for helping the homeless in Israel.
Rabbi Mauro has served in the United States, Israel, Poland, and in the Ukraine. In 2002 he joined Shoresh David Messianic Synagogue in Tampa, Florida and currently serves as an ordained Messianic Rabbi, assistant to Rabbi Steven J. Weiler. Rabbi Mauro is married to Cathy, his wife of 23 years, and they live in New Port Richey, Florida.
