Counting The Omer
Baruch ata Adonai Eloheinu Melech haolam,
asher kidshanu b'mitzvotav v'tzivanu al S'firat HaOmer.
Blessed are You, O Lord our God, King of the universe,
who has set us apart by Your commandments and has commanded us to count the Omer.
Today is the _____ day of the _____ week in the omer count.
"From the day after the day of rest -that is, from the day you bring the sheaf for waving - you are to count seven full weeks, until the day after the seventh week; you are to count fifty days; and then you are to present a new grain offering to ADONAI."(Leviticus 23:15-16)
For Our Quiet Times Each Day As We Count The Omer
1) Thank God for what He has done for us.
2) Dedicate yourself as the "First Fruit" of Yeshua.
3) Each day, anticipate and eagerly expect God to bless you and your family and friends. "Lord, in the morning you will hear my voice; in the morning I will order my prayer to You and eagerly watch." (Psalm 5:3)
4) Ask for God's Word to pierce your heart.
5) Ask for God's Spirit to help and guide you in all things.
6) Be ready to share: "...but sanctify Messiah as Lord in your hearts, always being ready to make a defense to everyone who asks you to give an account for the hope that is in you, yet with gentleness and reverence" (1 Peter 3:15)
7) Read and dwell on Scriptures that will lift your faith.
Isaiah 41:10, Isaiah 50:4, Psalm 1:1-3, Psalm 51:10-13, Isaiah 61:1-3, Psalm 63:1-2, Numbers 6:24-27, Philippians 4:4-8, Galatians 5:22-25, 1 Timothy 1:5-7, etc.
"Do not fear, for I am with you; Do not anxiously look about you, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, surely I will help you, surely I will uphold you with My righteous right hand."
"Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me. Do not cast me away from Your presence and do not take Your Holy Spirit from me. Restore to me the joy of Your salvation and sustain me with a willing spirit. Then I will teach transgressors Your ways, and sinners will be converted to You."
"The Lord bless you, and keep you; The Lord make His face shine on you, and be gracious to you; The Lord lift up His countenance on you, And give you peace.' "So they shall invoke My name on the sons of Israel, and I then will bless them."
"But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law. Now those who belong to Messiah Yeshua have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. If we live by the Spirit, let us also walk by the Spirit."
"The Lord God has given Me the tongue of disciples, That I may know how to sustain the weary one with a word. He awakens Me morning by morning, He awakens My ear to listen as a disciple. The Lord God has opened My ear; And I was not disobedient nor did I turn back."
"The Spirit of the Lord God is upon me, because the Lord has anointed me to bring good news to the afflicted; He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to captives and freedom to prisoners; to proclaim the favorable year of the Lord and the day of vengeance of our God; to comfort all who mourn, to grant those who mourn in Zion, giving them a garland instead of ashes, the oil of gladness instead of mourning, the mantle of praise instead of a spirit of fainting. So they will be called oaks of righteousness, the planting of the Lord, that He may be glorified."
"Finally, brethren, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is of good repute, if there is any excellence and if anything worthy of praise, dwell on these things."
