The Shoresh David Statement of Our Faith
Unity in our Statement of Faith, Liberty in our values, Love at all times
The Bible – We believe...
The Bible is God's written revelation to man. All sixty-six books comprised of Genesis thru Revelation are equally inspired by the
Holy Spirit and constitute the complete Word of God.
The Bible is the inerrant, unchangeable, infallible, prophetic, authoritative Word of God, for all people ~ for all time. The Bible is our
highest authority in all matters of faith, life, and practice.
God – We believe...
There is only one true, eternally-living God ~ the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob.
God is One, existing in three co-equal and co-eternal persons; He is triune: the Father (ha-Av), the Son (ha-Ben: Yeshua), and the
Holy Spirit (Ruach HaKodesh), each equally deserving worship and obedience.
God is Perfect in all His attributes: holy, infinite, unchanging, just, loving, all-powerful.
God is omniscient, omnipotent, omnipresent, and knows all things from eternity past to eternity future.
All things were created by God and He is therefore deserving of all our worship, praise and honor.
God the Father – We believe...
As the only absolute and omnipotent Ruler in the universe, He is sovereign in creation, wisdom, and redemption.
God, the Father, continually upholds, directs, and governs all creatures and events in His sovereignty, while allowing free will for
God, the Father, saves men from condemnation. He adopts as His own, all people who come to Him through His Son,
Yeshua the Messiah.
Messiah Yeshua (Jesus) – We believe...
Yeshua is God, who came to earth in the flesh; fully God (Deity) and fully man.
Yeshua is King of kings and Lord of lord; He is the promised Messiah of Israel.
Yeshua is the only begotten Son of God, conceived of the Holy Spirit, born of Miriam, a Jewish virgin, and is in the
lineage of King David.
Yeshua willingly became the final atonement for the sins of the world by the shedding of His blood.
Yeshua died by crucifixion, was physically resurrected in three days, and ascended to heaven to sit at the right hand of
Salvation (Yeshua) is the goal of the Torah and spoken of by the Prophets to be the Redeemer of the world.
Yeshua will return in the end of days to establish His kingdom on earth and will reign on the throne of David.
Yeshua intercedes only on behalf of all those who believe in Him and call upon His name.
Yeshua is the final Judge of all mankind. Those who believe in Yeshua as Lord and Savior will be resurrected to eternal
life with God.
Those who fail to place their trust in Yeshua, as Lord and Savior, will be in a place of torment, forever separated from
Ruach haKodesh (The Holy Spirit) – We believe...
Ruach haKodesh is God and part of His Tri-Unity.
Ruach haKodesh is ever-present within us, as our Helper and Comforter, to glorify and testify of Yeshua.
Ruach haKodesh permanently indwells, regenerates, and seals every believer.
Ruach haKodesh empowers all believers, and sovereignly imparts spiritual gifts to each believer, for the purpose of
edifying and equipping the Body of Messiah.
Ruach haKodesh guides, teaches, sanctifies, comforts, and intercedes for each believer.
Ruach haKodesh convicts the world of sin and unrighteousness, and brings judgment.
Salvation (Eternal Life) – We believe...
Man is created in the image of God.
As a result of Adam’s sin of disobedience, sin and death entered the world separating all men from God.
All have sinned and come short of the glory of God and all are in need of redemption.
The only way for man to be reconciled to God, be cleansed of sin, and receive everlasting life with Him, is to receive
Yeshua’s atoning blood sacrifice.
God’s free gift of salvation is wholly by grace, only through faith, based on Yeshua’s atoning work, and not on the basis
of human merit or work.
God’s salvation leads us to repentance and good works, through the power of God’s Spirit.

Deuteronomy 4:1-2 “Now, O Israel, listen to the statutes and ordinances that I am teaching you to do, so that you may live and go in and possess the land that Adonai the God of your fathers is giving you. Joshua 1:8 This book of the Torah should not depart from your mouth—you are to meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it. For then you will make your ways prosperous and then you will be successful.
Psalm 1:1-3 Happy is the one who has not walked in the advice of the wicked, nor stood in the way of sinners, nor sat in the seat of scoffers. Its leaf never droops—but in all he does, he succeeds.
Psalm 119:11 I have treasured Your word in my heart, so I might not sin against You.
Psalm 119:105 Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.

Jeremiah 31:30-31 “Behold, days are coming”—it is a declaration of Adonai—“when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah<span">—not like the covenant I made with their fathers in the day I took them by the hand to bring them out of the land of Egypt. For they broke My covenant, though I was a husband to them.” it is a declaration of Adonai.
Matthew 5:17-19 “Do not think that I came to abolish the Torah or the Prophets! I did not come to abolish, but to fulfill. Amen, I tell you, until heaven and earth pass away, not the smallest letter or serif shall ever pass away from the Torah until all things come to pass. Therefore, whoever breaks one of the least of these commandments, and teaches others the same, shall be called least in the kingdom of heaven. But whoever keeps and teaches them, this one shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.
Matthew 24:35 Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will never pass away.

I Timothy 3:14-17 These things I write to you, hoping to come to you shortly. But if I delay, I write so you may know how one ought to conduct himself in the household of God—which is the community of the living God, a pillar and foundation of truth. Now beyond question, great is the mystery of godliness: He was revealed in the flesh, Vindicated in the Spirit, Seen by angels, Proclaimed among the nations, Trusted throughout the world, Taken up in glory.
Hebrews 4:12 For the word of God is living and active and sharper than any two-edged sword—piercing right through to a separation of soul and spirit, joints and marrow, and able to judge the thoughts and intentions of the heart.

The grass withers, and the flower falls off, But the word of the Lord endures forever.” And this is the word that was proclaimed as Good News to you.
II Peter 1:20-21 Above all understand this: no prophecy of Scripture comes about from a person’s own interpretation. For no prophecy was ever brought forth by human will; rather, people spoke from God as they were moved by the Ruach ha-Kodesh.
God - We believe: God the Father– We believe:
Genesis 1:26 Then God said, “Let Us make man in Our image, after Our likeness! Let them rule over the fish of the sea, over the flying creatures of the sky, over the livestock, over the whole earth, and over every crawling creature that crawls on the land.”

Isaiah 48:16-17 Draw near to Me, hear this: Since the beginning, I have not spoken in secret. From the time it existed, I was there. I Peter 1:1-2 Peter, an emissary of Messiah Yeshua, To the sojourners of the Diaspora in Pontus, Galatia, Cappadocia, Asia, and Bithynia—chosen according to the foreknowledge of God the Father, set apart by the Ruach for obedience and for sprinkling with the blood of Yeshua the Messiah: May grace and shalom be multiplied to you.
I John 5:1-7 Everyone who believes that Yeshua is the Messiah is born of God, and everyone who loves the Father loves the one born of Him. We know that we love God’s children by this—when we love God and obey His commandments. For this is the love of God—that we keep His commandments. And His commandments are not burdensome. For everyone born of God overcomes the world. And the victory that has overcome the world is this—our faith. Who is it that overcomes the world, if not the one who believes that Yeshua is Ben-Elohim? Messiah Yeshua is the One who came by water and blood—not by water only, but by water and blood. The Spirit is the One who testifies, because the Spirit is the truth. For there are three that testify—

You shall dash them in pieces like a potter’s jar.” So now, O kings, be wise, take warning, O judges of the earth! Serve Adonai with fear, and rejoice with trembling. Kiss the Son, lest He become angry, and you perish along your way—since His wrath may flare up suddenly. Happy is everyone taking refuge in Him!
Isaiah 7:14 Therefore Adonai Himself will give you a sign: Behold, the virgin will conceive. When she is giving birth to a son, she will call his name Immanuel.

So know and understand: From the issuing of the decree to restore and to build Jerusalem until the time Mashiach, the Prince, there shall be seven weeks and 62 weeks. It will be rebuilt, with plaza and moat, but it will be in times of distress. Then after the 62 weeks Mashiach will be cut off and have nothing. Then the people of a prince who is to come will destroy the city and the sanctuary. But his end will come like a flood. Until the end of the war that is decreed there will be destruction.

But while he considered these things, behold, an angel of Adonai appeared to him in a dream, saying, “Joseph son of David, do not be afraid to take Miriam as your wife, for the Child conceived in her is from the Ruach ha-Kodesh. She will give birth to a son; and you shall call His name Yeshua, for He will save His people from their sins. ”Now all this took place to fulfill what was spoken by Adonai through the prophet, saying, “Behold, the virgin shall conceive and give birth to a son, and they shall call His name Immanuel,” which means “God with us.” When Joseph woke up from his sleep, he did as the angel of Adonai commanded him and took Miriam as his wife. But he did not know her intimately until she had given birth to a Son. And he called His name Yeshua.

He exists before everything, and in Him all holds together. He is the head of the body, His community. He is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead — so that He might come to have first place in all things. Galatians 5:22-23 But the fruit of the Ruach is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control—against such things there is no law.

Genesis 1:26-27 Then God said, “Let Us make man in Our image, after Our likeness! Let them rule over the fish of the sea, over the flying creatures of the sky, over the livestock, over the whole earth, and over every crawling creature that crawls on the land.”God created humankind in His image, in the image of God He created him, male and female He created them.
Isaiah 43:10-13 “You are My witnesses”—it is a declaration of Adonai—“and My Servant whom I have chosen, so that you may know and believe Me, and understand that I am He. Before Me no God was formed, and there will none after Me. “I, I am Adonai—and there is no savior beside Me. I alone declared, saved and proclaimed, and not some foreign god among you. So you are My witnesses”—it is a declaration of Adonai—“and I am God. From eternity, I am He. None can deliver from My hand. I act, and who can reverse it?”
Isaiah 44:6 Thus says Adonai, Israel’s King and his Redeemer, Adonai-Tzva’ot: “I am the first, and the last, and there is no God beside Me.

Psalm 103:8-12 Adonai is compassionate and gracious, slow to anger, and plentiful in mercy. He will not always accuse, nor will He keep His anger forever. He has not treated us according to our sins, or repaid us according to our iniquities. For as high as the heavens are above the earth, so great is His mercy for those who fear Him. As far as the east is from the west, so far has He removed our transgressions from us.

For if, while we were yet enemies, we were reconciled to God through the death of His Son, how much more, having been reconciled, shall we be saved by His life. And not only that, but we also boast in God through our Lord Yeshua the Messiah, through whom we have now received reconciliation. So then, just as sin came into the world through one man and death through sin, in the same way death spread to all men because all sinned.
